Taqueria La Unica in New Jersey

"Ok so it was payday today and decided to reward myself. I was craving some tacos. I found this hidden gem in Pine Brook. I have lived here all my life and apparently they've been here for a year now! I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos, suuuuuper delicious and well seasoned. Tacos came with several sauces, salsa, salsa Verde, pineapple sauce and to my surprise habaneros with onions. I was so hungry I didnt realize they were habaneros. Lol oops super spicy. I had tres leches next--DEVOURED that haha I was trying to make the spicyness go away. It was so creamy oh my, and the perfect slice. Not too much and it wasn't too sweet in my opinion. I had ordered a nachos with beefsteak to go and again to my surprise a massive tray comes out hahaha could feed a family of 8. Guys this is a great place, it is a bit small only few tables. But very cozy and authentic atmosphere. Will be coming here every pay day now lol"

"Just stopped in while charging the car at the nearby Tesla superchargers and was NOT disappointed, ordered quesadilla and tacos de carnitas and it was OUTSTANDING. The food was not greasy at all, everything was super fresh and delicious. The chipotle sauce had the perfect smokey taste and all the other sauces were just as delicious. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!"

"Seriously the best tacos in north Jersey. I had the pastor tacos and my son had the beef tongue tacos. Both amazing real deal tacos. Also ordered the guacamole that was freshly made and incredible. The accompanying chips are store made and warm when they come to your table. Tacos come with cactus, cucumbers and radish. The 4 sauces/salsas were very flavorful, one sweet/pineapple and very very spicy, another a nice smoky flavor, peppers and onions and a verde salsa. This will be my go to spot for tacos. Simply the best around."

"Very tasty tacos, salsas, and friendly service. They provide grilled cactus and green onion. And many sides that I normally don't get from other places. The waitress even provided a delicious flan that was made by her. Would come back."

"Owner is a family man. Love his kids. Food is great but lots of places of great food. Here there's a story. Kids studying in the corner. Dad trying to make it work with young kids. Something about family makes a meal feel more home cooked and warm and inviting. For me at least. I grew up in a similar situation so maybe it's just me. Anyways. It's good. Get the nachos if you're dining in."

"Great little spot good food I love the horchata they make the torta is massive I got milanesa de res and asked to add chorizo and Chipotle peppers probably the tastiest torta I had also they do a special on Tuesdays for taco Tuesday"
